card swap

Gosh it's been ages since I last blogged and I thought it was about time to get on with some work and show you what I've been up to.

I participate in a  monthly card swap which I help to run as I'm in admin to make sure crafter's get paired up so we can exchange our creations.
Last month's theme was red roses, so I'll show you my cards for the swap.
The first card I used a Kanban stamp and coloured in with  promarkers.  The image was cut out and placed onto some card.  The edges were punched with a Marther Stewart punch then i glittered certain parts of the roses.
The second card I stamped an image from Chocolate Baroque and used promarkers.  The image was distressed with ink and then placed onto different card.  I used ribbon to decorate the bottom of the card and glittered some of the image.
I do hope my card swaps are liked by my friends

valentine

How lucky was I when I woke up valentine morning with a huge arrangement of pink and white flowers.  Married to me and being a florist he wanted to please and make me happy by buying nothing but the best, and he didn't disappoint.  He is a romantic at heart but what he didn't buy me was a card!!!  I asked why he would buy flowers and not a card?  His answer was he was sure he could please me with flowers but when it comes to cards then I'm difficult to please!!!!!  My response to that was I would rather he made me a card or even cut out a heart anything but he knew that if he bought one it wouldn't be the same and he is right.  A card made by your own hands means so much more.  But I didn't mind at all as the flowers will last me a couple of weeks.

Here are some cards I made for valentines. One is from crafty individual and the other is from paper artsy.  As per usual loved making them using embossing powder, heart punches and coloured in copics, all for the theme of love.

That Craft Place next Challenge "By The Seaside"

This challenge was "by the Seaside".  I used a crafty individual stamp of some friends having fun at the seaside.  I coloured the image with copics and then trebled embossed with embossing powder, but unfortunately my camera is in need  of a new friend so you can see more detail !!!!!!
That Craft Place sell plenty of stamps so have a look at their website as they have  lots of crafty individuals. I must admit there is a large selection of different styles to suit anybodies taste.

My next card is my favourite Molly Bloom!!  In this card I used 4 different stamps and put them together to form a beach scene.
Molly is coloured in promarkers and i went over with copic glitter pens to add depth where needed.  The shells come all the way from Sicily, I knew i would need them some day!

My last card is a mixture of all sorts.  Really enjoyed making this card as there was alot of masking.  I made sure though I kept them all as it took ages cutting them out!  This image I used spectrum noirs to colour in, That Craft Place have now got limited stock of the extra sets.  I have my name down for one of them so fingers crossed I'll get mine soon, so give them a ring to see if they have any left!
Well I hope you like the cards that I've made, and thank you for taking the time to read my blog! xxx

The next card I made for the challenge I used 3 different stamp sets from Polka Doodle to make a larger picture.  I used promarkers and then highlighted the picture with copic glitters.

The last creation I made was a tag.  I used a Crafty Individual stamp which i stamped and embossed and then coloure in with promarkers.  I distressed the tags with distress ink and tied them together with different ribbon and placed a button with some decorative wired gems.  I hope you like this.

An other Challenge Home Sweet Home

My next challenge for That Craft Place was Home Sweet Home.  I loved this challenge as I used a Tando kit which i used decorative paper and acrylic paint.  I will definitely be buying these kits again.
