<div>Here is my june card swap. The theme was kingdom and castles and as it was close to the Queen's Jubilee at the time I had to do something containing this event.</div>
<div>My swap partner lives in Belgium so I thought this would be great for Anneke.</div>
<div>I used indigo blue stamp and embossed with my favourite products from stampendous. The fran-tage technique. I do like all their products and its like a little chemist going on with all the embossing powders, mica flakes and german glass glitter. A little of this and a bit of that and then watch it all bubble sticking together!!!!!!.</div>
<div>The Union Jack was embossed on newspaper with ivory enamel embossing powder and the background was also stamped and embossed with antique gold. I then distressed with tim holtz inks to give my card colour. I used mahogany, fire brick and barn door and went around the edges with blue jeans.</div>
<div>Then I started to put all my products surrounding the flag! I plaited ribbon with the red, white and blue and put flowers in the corner.</div>
<div>It seems such a long time ago the Queens Jubilee but I still thought I wanted to show my card.</div>
<div></div>

<div>Heyyyyyy 4th July,</div><div>Wish I was in America celebrating!!!! So this week we are being sponsored by Beccy's place. We also have a picture for inspiration to use and it has fireworks for the celebration of this day.</div><div>I had a lovely image from Beccy of a shoe!, well girls who don't like shoes?????</div><div>I decided to make my card using water colour pencils which I then edged with a navy promarker. The rose and leaves I used promarker too as I like to mix different mediums. I glittered the areas where I thought I should put some shading onto the shoe. The rose was then glazed and left over night to dry, as I know I would make a mess because I would be too tempted to touch!</div><div>This morning I decorated the shoe with pearls and then started on my background. I wanted a look to imitate the American flag. I know it's not correct but it does have stars and stripes!!!</div><div>I roughly cut some strips of red card and I punched out some stars, which I then filled in with white stars.</div><div>This was all placed onto navy card and then light blue card.</div><div>I finished the card with some ribbon on the edge and I drew some running stitches and some crosses.</div><div>So please pop over to our blog and enter our challenge as Beccy is giving away some digi stamps.</div><div>Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enter are challenge. </div>crafting mariahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06670990721702528600noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348461645440219975.post-34523591556946033362012-07-04T17:13:00.002+01:002012-07-04T17:33:30.556+01:00card swap<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B2fr9zCMjiI/T_RwNm-qgSI/AAAAAAAABRk/rFFblJp_-BA/s1600/IMG_1639.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 299px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5761353202417697058" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B2fr9zCMjiI/T_RwNm-qgSI/AAAAAAAABRk/rFFblJp_-BA/s400/IMG_1639.JPG" /></a>
<div>Well this is my next swap card that I wanted to put onto my blog.</div><div>This card I decided to use my kraft cards that I bought the other day. I used a small image of a little girl which came from Lili of The Valley. I did think the image needed to have a little sparkle so I used sakura pens to give it shine and sparkle.</div><div>The image was mat and layered onto some pink card and then onto white card which I used the new summer colour distress ink to match all my colours.</div><div>I then placed the card onto two types of scalloped miri card. I used more pink card and then used a square doily which was also coloured with distress ink. I used some lovely small flowers that was in my stash of goodies to frame my image and then placed a small bow to balance the card.</div><div>I used gold pen leaf to edged the outside of my card. Pretty quick card really but I did enjoy making it.</div>crafting mariahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06670990721702528600noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348461645440219975.post-79505949240189108672012-07-04T16:33:00.003+01:002012-07-04T17:11:49.980+01:00card swap - spring<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-knvwyQ0DPVs/T_Rq-PLRRAI/AAAAAAAABRU/Lcyqm-cOM2A/s1600/IMG_1635.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 299px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5761347440771941378" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-knvwyQ0DPVs/T_Rq-PLRRAI/AAAAAAAABRU/Lcyqm-cOM2A/s400/IMG_1635.JPG" /></a>
<div>Hi,</div><div>this card is for my card swap group, I thought I should put this on my blog to show what I've been up to. We have now changed the name to our group to We Love Our Card Swap. It was about time we changed the name and I think everyone is happy with the changes.</div><div> </div><div>My first card that I made, I used a hydrangea stamp,I love hydrangea's anyway and I thought it was fitting with the theme . I stamped with distress ink and then painted with the ink. To get different shades I used good old sakura pens. These where my first purchase and every now and again I use them as it gives me great colour with a little sparkle.</div><div>The edges where stamped and embossed in white wow embossing powder, and then also distressed. This was then put onto some miri card where I embossed some lines to frame the picture. It was then mounted onto some brown card where I used the same stamp to emboss the edges and then used the wow powder again so it all matched. I finished the card with purple bow and then placed pearl cosmic shimmer to the flowers and embellished with some pearls.</div><div>i hope my swap partner likes my card.</div><div> </div>crafting mariahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06670990721702528600noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348461645440219975.post-88549261937484045562012-06-30T22:26:00.000+01:002012-06-30T22:26:27.698+01:00just inspirational challenge week 34This challenge is great, a nice way to get stuck into inks and your other mediums.<br />
This challenge has been sponsored by Dude Time Doodles.<br />
I loved this challenge as I used my distress inks for sky and sea, my waves I used frantage embossing powder in blue and the image was coloured in with promarkers.<br />

This was a good opportunity to use my pan pastels. I would say they are not the easiest medium to use but by taking your time it does give you a good result. I used distress inks for the edges to darken them. I'm so pleased with the result. I do hope you like it.<br />

The first card I used a Kanban stamp and coloured in with promarkers. The image was cut out and placed onto some card. The edges were punched with a Marther Stewart punch then i glittered certain parts of the roses.<br />
The second card I stamped an image from Chocolate Baroque and used promarkers. The image was distressed with ink and then placed onto different card. I used ribbon to decorate the bottom of the card and glittered some of the image.<br />
I do hope my card swaps are liked by my friendscrafting mariahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06670990721702528600noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348461645440219975.post-53509939896712944832012-02-17T01:50:00.000+00:002012-02-17T01:50:35.986+00:00valentineHow lucky was I when I woke up valentine morning with a huge arrangement of pink and white flowers. Married to me and being a florist he wanted to please and make me happy by buying nothing but the best, and he didn't disappoint. He is a romantic at heart but what he didn't buy me was a card!!! I asked why he would buy flowers and not a card? His answer was he was sure he could please me with flowers but when it comes to cards then I'm difficult to please!!!!! My response to that was I would rather he made me a card or even cut out a heart anything but he knew that if he bought one it wouldn't be the same and he is right. A card made by your own hands means so much more. But I didn't mind at all as the flowers will last me a couple of weeks.<br />

I used a crafty individual stamp of some friends having fun at the seaside. I coloured the image with copics and then trebled embossed with embossing powder, but unfortunately my camera is in need of a new friend so you can see more detail !!!!!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">That Craft Place sell plenty of stamps so have a look at their website as they have lots of crafty individuals. I must admit there is a large selection of different styles to suit anybodies taste.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lY80oL_jJ1Q/TyYKSQB_PVI/AAAAAAAABLU/RMp9ypJicik/s1600/IMGP4475.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="400px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lY80oL_jJ1Q/TyYKSQB_PVI/AAAAAAAABLU/RMp9ypJicik/s400/IMGP4475.JPG" width="265px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My next card is my favourite Molly Bloom!! In this card I used 4 different stamps and put them together to form a beach scene.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Molly is coloured in promarkers and i went over with copic glitter pens to add depth where needed. The shells come all the way from Sicily, I knew i would need them some day!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-PbLLRu-o0/TyYMhxlm20I/AAAAAAAABLc/8o8GaVVvUq4/s1600/IMGP4478.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="265px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-PbLLRu-o0/TyYMhxlm20I/AAAAAAAABLc/8o8GaVVvUq4/s400/IMGP4478.JPG" width="400px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Really enjoyed making this card as there was alot of masking. I made sure though I kept them all as it took ages cutting them out! This image I used spectrum noirs to colour in, That Craft Place have now got limited stock of the extra sets. I have my name down for one of them so fingers crossed I'll get mine soon, so give them a ring to see if they have any left!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Well I hope you like the cards that I've made, and thank you for taking the time to read my blog! xxx</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />

I used promarkers and then highlighted the picture with copic glitters.<br />
<br />
The last creation I made was a tag. I used a Crafty Individual stamp which i stamped and embossed and then coloure in with promarkers. I distressed the tags with distress ink and tied them together with different ribbon and placed a button with some decorative wired gems. I hope you like this.<br />

I used Joanna Sheen paper for the background and stamped imaged onto card. I coloured the tree with promarkers and aqua markers. I embellished the tree with small yellow buttons and before placing on decorative paper I rouged ribbon on the edge of the card. I do like this effect, I think I might use this technique again!<br />
I do hope you liked my cards for this challenge and inspired you to be creative in using ribbon instead of paper.<br />
